A replacement Comms PC is being put together and will be set tomorrow ----------------------------- 8 March, 2006 (DC/RAM) This is to note that I shall be visiting the IPS station at South Lea, Hobart during Thursday 9 March. I will be inspecting the building, the grounds, antenna masts and discussing maintenance and ionogram scaling at the station. I also hope to establish some information for mapping the underground cabling. ----------------------------- 9 March, 2006 (CT/RAM) FYI at HBT a replacement V5.3 comms PC has been installed to replace failed unit Confirmed data flow for CADI, 5X amd IPS mag. Mag data flow resumed approx 00UT. ---------------------------------------- 9 March, 2006 (CT/RAM) FYI I have had to reboot the comms PC to finalise some config bits approx 0230UT. -------------------------- 9 March, 2006 (RAM) MAG PC reset approx 0320UT to update logging config. ------------------------------------- MAG PC reset approx 07UT on 9 March to update logging config. The system and enclosures were installed and constructed by Mike Hyde. The new sensor is the Bartington MAG03MSES70 and the acquisition system is the Bartington MAG03-DAM. Together these form the SWNMAGv3. A new identification letter is used, "S", for data from this system. There was some noise in the data during installation and alignment. ------------------------------------------------------- Entry added on Fri Jun 2 01:41:26 UTC 2017 Updated IGRF and geomagnetic coordinates. ------------------------------------------------------- 22 August, 2017 (JY) Changed the identifier letter from S to j, to agree with clg and lea. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07 Mar 2024 (JY) Upgraded to the MDAS acquisition system.
